Our crumbly shortbread is baked in the Cotswolds by the White family. Their use of wholegrain flour makes it a delicious source of fibre. The buttery texture and sweet taste pair perfectly with my favorite triple-berry compote.
about this snackWho doesn’t love shortbread! It’s one of those simple pleasures which always makes a cup of tea feel even more comforting. Our taste experts wanted to match our classic wholegrain shortbread biscuits with a sweet and tangy berry dip. So they got busy in the kitchen creating a berry compote their grandparents would be proud of. This treat tastes like a delicious scone with a touch of jam making it a perfect afternoon treat!
What makes it so tasty? This shortbread recipe was baked by the White family in their bakery in the Cotswolds. To make our beloved shortbread dippers, they replaced some of the white flour with wholegrain wheat flour, to give it a natural crumbly texture and make it a tasty source of fiber.
The crumbly shortbread dipped in the sweet summer berry compote reminds us of scones and jam on a sunny afternoon.
When should you eat it?When you want to imagine yourself sitting in a posh hotel having a spot of afternoon tea or when you are craving a sweet treat on a sunny afternoon. Or whenever you want to make your friends and colleagues jealous of your delicious afternoon snack while you take a moment for yourself.
