If you have a bar of chocolate chop it into small pieces then in a medium glass bowl melt the dark chocolate in the microwave. Microwave for one minute then take it out and stir. Microwave for another 30-60 seconds and stir again. The chocolate should be melted but if there are any parts that haven’t fully melted put it in for another 30 seconds.
Lay out a large piece of wax paper onto a cookie sheet.
Use a spoon to slowly pour ovals of chocolate onto the wax paper. You can make them circles or you could even shape them in ovals to look like an Easter egg (they can be as big or as small as you would like!).
Important: Only pour one at a time! While the chocolate is still hot begin placing your toppings on top. You can sprinkle the topping randomly or you can place them in a design to look like an Easter egg. Tip: How ever you decide to “decorate” your chocolate Easter bites be sure to move quickly as the chocolate doesn’t stay warm for long!
Continue making your healthy dark chocolate Easter bites while the chocolate is still hot. If the chocolate begins to cool you can pop it back in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Let the chocolate bites set. They can harden at room temperature or you can put them in the fridge to harden quicker.
