Frequently asked questions

How graze works

Where can my boxes be delivered?

We deliver nationwide in the UK. Any address that can receive post via your regular postie can receive graze boxes.

What is graze?

We send nutritious snack boxes by post.

Do I need to be in and sign for my box?

Our original graze box, containing 4 individual snacks, is letterbox sized, and is conveniently delivered by your postie, along with the rest of your post.

We send our sharing boxes via Royal Mail. As they're bigger than our normal boxes and won't fit through your letterbox, we'd recommend supplying an address where you know someone will be in to receive it.

If no-one is in to receive the box then your postie will leave a card to let you know they've called and you'll be able to collect the box from your local sorting office.

How much does delivery cost?

Good news, delivery is always FREE.

How do I pay?

You pay per box, and we’ll normally charge you up to five days before your box is due (we personalise each box to your ratings, so need to start preparing them in good time). You can see all of our usual payment times below.

Boxes due on:

  • Monday will be charged after 8am on the previous Thursday
  • Tuesday will be charged after 6am on the previous Friday
  • Wednesday will be charged after midnight on the previous Sunday
  • Thursday will be charged after midday on the previous Monday
  • Friday will be charged after midnight on the previous Tuesday
  • Saturday will be charged after midnight on the previous Thursday

Payment times may be earlier at certain times of the year, like Christmas and bank holidays.

You can see the cut-off times for changes to your order here.

How do I cancel my deliveries?

Just go to your orders page, which can be found in your account menu in the top right hand corner of each page on the site.

Click 'manage recurring order' or 'manage one-off order' depending on the order you wish to cancel.

Then choose 'more options' and 'cancel this order'.

Make sure you click through any subsequent options until you see confirmation of your cancellation.

If you have just one order set up (for example, one box that arrives every fortnight, or one box that arrives every week) then this will fully cancel that recurring delivery and no more boxes will be sent.

If you have more than one order set up (for example two boxes a week, or one box that gets delivered to you and one that goes to a friend) you’ll need to repeat this process for each delivery.

We prepare boxes up to five days before they are due to arrive so if your next box is already being prepared when you cancel your recurring delivery then this final box will be sent. You can see our cancellation cut-off times here.

Can I order boxes to more than one address?

Yes, you can set up as many delivery addresses as you like. Simply add more addresses, and when you next schedule your next boxes you'll be able to select where you would like them delivered.

Can I get my friends graze gift vouchers?

gift boxesYes, you can now buy gift vouchers for your friends, family and loved ones for anything from 3 to 50 regular sized boxes. Or you can add their details to your own account, and when you next order a box you’ll be able to select who you want us to send it to. You can even add a gift message

We don't currently offer gift vouchers for our sharing boxes.

Can I have more than one delivery set up?

Yes, you can order as many boxes as you want, as often as you like. You can see how many boxes you’ve ordered and where you have chosen to send them on your your orders page. Why not order a few boxes to share at your work meetings?

Will my boxes fit through my letterbox?

Yes! We've designed our packaging so that your graze box will always be the same size (23cm × 17cm × 2.5cm) so it should fit through most standard letterboxes for convenient delivery. The boxes are just a bit bigger than A5 size.

The sharing box, containing 5 sharing bags, is taller than our standard graze box (24cm x 17cm x 17cm) and therefore will not fit through the letterbox.

How do I postpone my boxes if I'm away for a week?

This can be done from your orders page. You'll find this option in your account menu, which is located in the top right-hand corner of each page on the site.

Click 'manage recurring order' for the box you'd like to postpone.

Then select the new date you'd like to receive your next box from the 'snooze this box' drop down menu.

If we’ve already started preparing your next box, it won’t be possible for you to push the delivery date back. Amendments to orders can only be made before our cut-off times. However, you can postpone the following box by clicking the 'snooze this box?' button and selecting the date you'd like to receive it.

If you're going away for a bit longer, you can always book a holiday on your account and we'll make sure your recurring deliveries are stopped while you're away.

What happens if there is a postal strike?

There are some acts of nature and the Royal Mail that we have no control over. We can only deliver when the Royal Mail does and we will always give you as much notice as possible of any day the Royal Mail cannot deliver.

Is my box recyclable?

Yes! And we really encourage you to recycle it.

What happens if there is a problem with my box?

Any problems - just get in touch.

My friends keep stealing my nibbles - what should I do?

Why not tell them to sign up themselves using your friendcode - they'll get their first, fifth and tenth boxes free, and you'll save £1 off a box for every friend that joins or you can donate to the graze school of farming. Find out more on your 'friendcode' page.

Managing my orders

When's the latest I can make changes to or cancel my box?

We personalise each box to your ratings (or choices, for the graze sharing box) so need to start preparing them in good time. This means we have cut-off points after which no further changes can be made. Changes that are affected by cut-off times include:

  • Address changes
  • Ordering more boxes
  • Changes to your ratings
  • Cancellations and postponing a box

Our cut-off times vary, depending on your chosen delivery day. Boxes due at the beginning of the week are prepared up to five days before they’re due, whereas those due towards the end of the week (Thursday to Saturday) are prepared up to four days before.

See our latest cut off times

What happens over Bank Holidays?

Order and cut off changes

We have to make some changes before and after a Bank Holidays, so that your boxes are still sent out to you on time. This means that we'll start preparing boxes and taking payment up to 7 days earlier than usual.

When this happens our cut off times for making any changes (like the address your box is sent to) or cancelling your boxes have to be altered too. These altered cut-off times affect boxes due in the week after the Bank Holiday also.

The most important thing to remember is that if you do want to make any kind of change over a Bank Holiday, make sure you do so as soon as you can to be sure you’re in time.

Delivery changes

Since there is no Royal Mail delivery on Bank Holidays we can't deliver to you that day so we will usually deliver your box on the following working day (e.g. on Tuesday instead of a bank holiday Monday).

What do I do if my box is late?

We always pack and ship your boxes in plenty of time to get to you. As we send all your boxes via your local postie, occasionally they may be held up so we can't guarantee your box will get to you on the exact day. If your box hasn't arrived in the next day's post, you can let us know here

What happens when my card expires or is re-issued?

We don’t want you to miss out on your next order so we use a payment card updater service from Visa and MasterCard.  They send updated card details to us when necessary so that your order can carry on without you missing a box.

Got a question?

If you can’t find the question here, you can always ask us on getintouch@graze.com and we’ll do our best to get back to you by the end of the day!

How we pick your boxes

Which types of boxes do you offer?

We offer two different box sizes.

Our regular graze boxes contain 4 portion controlled snacks. We offer ‘variety boxes’ which have the maximum variety, as well as more tailored graze boxes to cater for specific nutrition goals or tastes. We’ll send you anything from dried fruit, nuts and seeds to savoury treats, chocolate and freshly baked nibbles (taking your preferences into account, of course).

In a sharing box, you will need to indicate which snacks you’d be happy to receive by adding them to ‘your list’. We’ll then send you 5 snacks from this list (and never anything which you haven’t indicated you’d like to receive) in each box. You can also let us know if you’d like to receive a certain snack in every box by adding a 'star' rating to it and we will do our very best to make this happen.

How do you pick which foods I'll get?

For a graze box containing 4 individually portioned snacks, the guys in the graze kitchen pick your foods based on your ratings. When you first sign up, everything in our range will be marked as 'try', so it's really important that you go through our range and let us know what you 'like' or 'love', and 'bin' anything you don't want to receive.

In a sharing box, you will need to indicate which snacks you’d be happy to receive by adding them to ‘your list’. We’ll then send you 5 snacks from this list in each box. You can also let us know if you’d like to receive a certain snack in every box by adding a 'star' rating to it and we will do our very best to make this happen. If you choose to place less than 5 snacks on your list, we'll endeavour to send you two of one of the snacks on your list in your sharing box.

Can I change my ratings?

Yes, you can change your ratings at any time. In fact with each box you receive we would love you to rate each of the foods in it, so we can make sure we always send you your favourites.

For your sharing box, you can add snacks to your list, or remove snacks you don’t want to receive, whenever you fancy a change.

About our food

Where is my food prepared?

We prepare and pack everything in the graze kitchen, located in a green bit on the outskirts of London.

How do I find out the ingredients of your foods?

Just click on each photo in our range and you can see the full ingredients for that product. It's really easy to search for any ingredient, e.g. www.graze.com/s/banana

What about food waste?

We pack small amounts of our 'dry snacks' and our cake is baked fresh; this means we're really accurate with our buying, keeping food waste to a minimum. Anything left over we give to homeless charities based in London. And because all our food comes in individual portions it means no food waste for you (and no extra waist).

All of the sharing bags in our sharing box are resealable to keep the food fresher for longer.

Do you cater for people with allergies?

Graze is not suitable for people with allergies. All of our food is packed in the same place, so cross-contamination between any of our ingredients is possible. Our snacks may contain traces of gluten, eggs, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, fish and sesame.

Are your products nut free?

Unfortunately not, we can't guarantee that our products are free from traces of nuts and sesame ingredients since everything is prepared in the same place. So if you have a nut allergy, you will not be able to graze.

How do I 'bin' a particular ingredient?

To 'bin' all the mixes including a specific ingredient, enter the name of that ingredient in the search box here and then select bin underneath each snack.

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, then graze is not suitable for you as all our snacks are packed in the same place and cross-contamination is possible.

Do you cater for people with dietary requirements?

As all our food is packed in the same place, we cannot guarantee our snacks will be suitable for people with specific dietary requirements as cross-contamination is possible. Our snacks may contain traces of gluten, eggs, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, fish and sesame.

You can use our dietary preferences page to 'bin' any products containing ingredients you don’t wish to receive, but please bear the risk of cross-contamination in mind when doing so.

How do I make sure I only get foods suitable for coeliacs?

You can 'bin' all products that contain gluten as a listed ingredient here.

However, as all our food is packed in the same place, we cannot guarantee our snacks will be suitable for people with specific dietary requirements as cross-contamination is possible.

What if I have a lactose or dairy intolerance?

You can 'bin' our dairy products on our dietary preferences page.

Please do bear in mind that, as all our food is packed in the same place, we cannot guarantee our snacks will be suitable for people with specific dietary requirements as cross-contamination is possible.

Are your nibbles suitable for vegetarians?

Our current range is suitable for vegetarians with the exception of our jerky, our Vietnamese pho soup and our Thai tom yum soup. A few of our natural treats do contain shellac which is approved by The Vegetarian Society, but if you'd rather not receive these, you can 'bin' them here.

What about vegans?

If you're vegan, you can 'bin' everything unsuitable on our dietary preferences page. However, as all our food is packed in the same place, we cannot guarantee our snacks will be suitable for people with specific dietary requirements as cross-contamination is possible.

I don't like spicy food - can I make sure I don't receive any in my graze boxes?

Some of the nibbles in our range are a little spicy, but we’ve been careful to make sure that they’re not too hot. Everyone has a different tolerance to spice, however, so if you don’t fancy turning up the heat then you can 'bin' all spicy mixes on our dietary preferences page.

Do my mixes contain any hard or crunchy ingredients?

Some ingredients in our snacks, such as nuts and corn, are dried or roasted before they’re packed in your boxes so it may be the case that they’re a little hard or crunchy and have a natural variance in texture. If you don’t have healthy, strong teeth then we do ask that you proceed with caution when eating our mixes.

Do any of my snacks require a microwave?

To enjoy graze's popping corn you will need to cook it in a microwave. If you don’t have one then you might want to nip on over to our dietary preferences page and select 'bin all' next to 'requires a microwave'.

You can pop your little puds in the microwave to enjoy them at their tastiest - but they’re still pretty yummy cold!

Are your eggs free range?

Yes - we only use free range eggs in our nibbles. You can find all our mixes that contain eggs here.

Please remember that all our food is packed in the same place, we cannot guarantee our snacks will be suitable for people with specific dietary requirements as cross-contamination is possible.

Do you use any genetically modified ingredients in your nibbles?

No, we're completely committed to using only GMO free ingredients.

What's a portion?

Our nutritionist, Jess, decides our portion sizes so that they are both satisfying and nutritious. We provide individual portions of food you can't easily get elsewhere, so you can have a more varied, balanced diet.

In our sharing boxes, we highlight the number of portions that each bag contains so you can keep an eye on portion size when enjoying them.

Will my graze box help me towards 5 a day?

Graze is recognised by the NHS as supporting the 5-a-day scheme, with up to four portions available in each box. Just 1 heaped tablespoon of raisins, 3 dried plums or a handful of banana coins count as a portion of your 5-a-day.

Are your olives pitted?

We do our very best to pit all of our olives to remove the stones, however sometimes one may be left, so please take care when you eat your olives.

Do you remove the stones from your dried fruits?

We do our very best to remove the pits from our dried fruit, but please be careful just in case the odd piece of stone is missed.

As our ingredients originate from natural sources there’s always a small chance that there could be a stone or a piece of shell in any of our snacks.

Whilst every precaution is taken to try and reduce the risk, we ask that you nibble your snacks with caution and keep an eye out for any stone or shell pieces.

Do your fruit chews and strings contain any added sugar or gelatine?

We don’t add any refined sugar to our fruit chews and strings, which are made using fruit juices and puree. They’re set using fruit pectin which is a natural gelling agent so no gelatine is used.

How can I enjoy the granola toppers?

We’ve found these work really well when they are added to yoghurt, ice cream, fruit or when used to spruce up a boring breakfast.

Are the granola toppers suitable for coeliacs?

Unfortunately our granola toppers are not suitable for coeliacs.

As all our food is packed in the same place we cannot guarantee our snacks will be suitable for people with specific dietary requirements as cross-contamination is possible.

What makes your raw bites raw?

Our raw bites are not heated above 40°C and are gently dried at a low temperature rather than being cooked.

What is the benefit of your raw bites?

Our raw bites are minimally processed and high in fibre.

More specifically, the seed bites contain vitamin E, folic acid and 4 different minerals, including manganese and selenium. Our cocoa and coconut raw bites give you that chocolaty hit without the guilt of a normal chocolate bar.

What is sriracha?

Sriracha is a fiery sauce from the Si Racha region of Thailand. It has a hot chilli and garlic flavour which lots of the team at graze HQ just can’t get enough of. However, if you’re sensitive to spicy foods you might want to give this snack a miss.

About the kids box

What is a kids box?

Kids boxes are our yummy new snacks specially created for kids.

What age group is the kids box suitable for?

Most of our snacks are suitable for kids aged three and up however some contain small pieces that could be a choking hazard for younger children.

What does 'no nasties' mean?

We've made sure that there are absolutely no artificial colours, artificial flavours, artificial sweeteners or artificial preservatives in the kids box, as well as no MSG. (Psst...this goes for all of our snacks!)

My child only likes one or two snacks - can you still send a kids box?

You can select as many or as few snacks as you like. If you select only one or two snacks we'll do our best to send you a complete kids box, which will contain several punnets of the same snack, as long as we have all the necessary ingredients available in the graze kitchen.

Will the kids box contain any nuts?

Mr Cheesy’s Garlic Bread contains cheese cashews and Chocolate Pretzel contains hazelnuts. These snacks are rated as 'yes please' which means they could be included in your mini grazer's kids box, but if you would rather not receive these snacks you can rate them as 'no thanks'.

Please note that all of our snacks are prepared together in the same kitchen, so we can’t guarantee that they won’t contain any traces of nuts. Graze is not suitable for those who have a nut allergy.

Are the kids box snacks suitable for coeliacs?

As all of our food is packed in the same place, we do advise that graze is not suitable for those who suffer from an allergy or intolerance as cross-contamination is possible.

You can check the full list of ingredients for each of our snacks by clicking on the snack's image. It's possible to say 'no thanks' to the snacks you don't want to receive. However, this won't remove the possibility of cross-contamination.

How do I check the ingredients?

Just click on the picture of each of our snacks to see the full list of ingredients.

Are the kids box snacks suitable for vegans?

Some of the snacks in our kids box range are suitable for vegans. These snacks are salsa face, ketchup soldiers, jam dunk, mr cheesy's garlic bread, crunch bunch, summer berry flapjack, golden flapjack, jaffa flapjack, tangy twisters and berry-apple smoothie.

If there are any snacks you don't want to receive, just rate them as 'no thanks'.

How I do add a name to the front of a kids box?

We'll print the first name from the delivery address label on the front of your kids box. You'll need to make sure that the recipient's first name is in the 'first name' box of the address you want to use. You can make amendments to an existing address or add a new address here.

So that we can make sure we send this box with the correct name label on the front, you'll need to select the relevant address from the 'where to?' drop down box when placing the order.

Where can I check the use by dates?

The use by dates for each of our snacks can be found in the booklet inside your kids box.

Is the salsa and tomato dip very spicy?

No - we've made sure that they're tangy and sweet rather than spicy, so they're not harsh on little tongues.

What is the white dust on the fruit strings and drops?

This is citrus fibre, a natural ingredient which stops the fruit strings and drops from sticking together.

About the breakfast box

What is the breakfast box?

The new breakfast range is packed full of exciting and tasty breakfasts designed to give you the best possible start to the day! You can choose from 20 types of granola, porridge and muesli to see you through the week.

How do I order one?

Just head on over to our breakfast page and click on 'try a breakfast box'. If you have a promotion code you can add it by selecting 'have a special code? enter it here >'.

How can I make sure I don't get certain breakfasts or ingredients?

You can choose to ‘bin’ any breakfasts that you’d rather not see in your boxes. If there’s a particular ingredient that you’re not keen on you can track down all the breakfasts that contain that ingredient by using our search function and selecting ‘bin’ for any you’d rather not receive. We will never send you any breakfast marked as ‘bin’.

Please remember that all our food is packed in the same place. Our snacks and cereals are not suitable for people with allergies or intolerances as cross-contamination is possible.

Are our breakfasts suitable for coeliacs?

We don’t use certified gluten-free oats in our cereals or porridge. We should also mention that all our food is packed in the same place, so cross-contamination is possible. This means that our range is not suitable for coeliacs, or for anyone with an allergy or intolerance.

Our snacks may contain traces of gluten, eggs, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, fish and sesame.

What about vegans?

The following breakfasts are suitable for vegans:

  • Rugged maple and pecan granola
  • Bramble country
  • Scandinavian forest fruits
  • Summer fayre
  • Apple and cinnamon porridge
  • Three berry porridge
  • Apple and pear porridge

Please do bear in mind, however, that all our food is packed in the same place, so cross contamination is possible.

How do I check the ingredients?

Just click on the pictures to see the full list of ingredients.

Are the cereals suitable for those with allergies?

Graze is not suitable for people with allergies. All of our food is packed in the same place, so cross-contamination between any of our ingredients is possible. Our snacks may contain traces of gluten, eggs, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, fish and sesame.

Can I get cereal in my usual variety box or nutrition plan?

Our breakfasts are only available in our breakfast box

How do I cook my porridge?

1. Tip porridge oats into a bowl

2. Measure milk in empty bag (by filling to the handy guide line) & pour over oats

3. Stir & microwave at full power for 2 minutes

Can I use different types of milk?

We have ours with semi-skimmed milk, but it still tastes great with all other types of milk including soya milk and almond milk. You can also make it with water.

How much milk should I use for my porridge?

We’ve found that filling your empty porridge bag up to the line with milk and then adding this to your porridge gives the best consistency.  If you like your porridge a little runnier/stickier, you can always add more/less milk.

View the full range here.

Will my ratings be applied to wholesale orders?

No, any changes made to your snack ratings via the website will not apply to your wholesale orders. If there are snacks that you particularly wish to receive or avoid, let us know.

Sign me up! How do I order?

If you already have an ordinary account and want to set up a wholesale order, click on 'order online’ on our wholesale page next to the case size you’d like. One of the team will get back to you as soon as possible to confirm the details of your order!

If you don’t already have an account with graze, or you’d like to pay with a different payment card to the one on your existing account, just contact Marcus confirming:

your name and delivery address

your billing address

a contact number

the case size you’d like

Then one of the wholesale team will get in touch to help you complete your order.

How do I pay? Does the cost include VAT and delivery?

We take payment by card, and we accept MasterCard, VISA and American Express.

Payment is required before we dispatch your order, so orders cannot be invoiced and paid for at a later date.

There’s no extra charge for delivery, and we’ll include a VAT receipt along with your snacks.

How often can I receive snacks?

Weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly – we’re flexible! Fortnightly or monthly deliveries are the most popular.

Can I place a one-off order for now?

Absolutely! When placing an order you’ll get the option to receive a one-off delivery.

When will my snacks arrive?

Our wholesale snacks are sent using a courier service and our expected delivery days are Monday and Thursday. You can see our cut-off times for placing a wholesale order below:

Monday deliveries – 5pm on the previous Wednesday

Thursday deliveries – 5pm on the previous Monday

Payment is required by these cut-off times for us to send an order for the next available delivery day.

Can I use a promotional code?

Promotional codes aren't valid for whole orders. If you’re new to graze, and you wish to set up a personal account rather than a wholesale one, claim your offer on a regular graze box here.

About the sharing box

What is the sharing box?

The sharing box does what it says on the tin- it's a great way to enjoy more of the snacks you love in larger, resealable bags.

What does the sharing box contain?

A sharing box contains 5 bags and each bag includes approximately 4 portions. That’s about 20 portions of food per box.

How can I find out more about the sharing box?

The sharing box is here! You can find out what all the excitement is about on the sharing box page.

How do you pick what snacks are included in my sharing box?

The way that we pick your sharing box differs from our other box types as you have more control over what snacks you will receive. We'll only ever send snacks that you have added to your list and your list can contain as few as 10 snacks.

Let us know which snacks you want to receive by clicking the purple 'add to your list' button under each picture, and we'll include 5 snacks from your list in each sharing box.

Star a snack to let us know which ones you're really keen to get! We'll send your starred snacks in every sharing box (as long as they are in stock!) so if you need a break, make sure to un-star this snack before we begin to prepare your next box and we'll try to include something else from your list.

What's different about the best of graze sharing box, the chocolate sharing box and the savoury sharing box?

These 3 boxes include a fixed selection of 5 of our most popular snacks - so your sharing box ratings won't affect what is included in these boxes.

To view the snacks included in each of these sharing boxes before ordering, click the 'look inside' button on the box type you are interested in on your home page.

How will my sharing box be sent to me?

We'll send your sharing box via Royal Mail. As it's bigger than our normal boxes and won't fit through your letterbox, we'd recommend supplying an address where you know someone will be in to receive it.

If no-one is in to receive the box then your postie will leave a card to let you know they've called and you'll be able to collect the box from your local sorting office.

I'm new to graze and have a voucher or discount code- can I use this to claim a free sharing box?

Our promotional vouchers and codes can be used to claim a free or discounted snack, kids or breakfast box, priced at £3.99. Free and discounted codes and offers cannot be applied to the sharing box or to our 'special editions' range.
