Place roasted hazelnuts in a food processor and blend for about ten minutes, until they totally break down.
Once blended, add the maple syrup and cacao and blend again until thoroughly mixed. The final ingredient to be added is the water which can be poured in gradually as you may not need it all.
Transfer to a clean glass jar and keep in the fridge (lasts up to 5 days).
