baking hack #8 - dark chocolate

To celebrate the Great British Bake Off, we're revealing the best baking hacks from the graze kitchen...


We only use the best ingredients we can find, and that’s so important when it comes to things like dark chocolate, especially in delicious snacks like our brilliant black forest. You want to make sure you’ve got as much delicious cocoa in there as possible so you can really taste the indulgent flavour.

why dark chocolate?

It’s no secret that dark chocolate is the healthiest form, but did you know it even beats out milk without counting all its heart-protecting antioxidants? The high-percentage stuff is lower in sugar and higher in iron and fibre, so you can feel good about enjoying it.

how to use dark chocolate

You can swap any kind of chocolate for dark, but remember it will change the flavour and texture slightly.

Stick to high cacao percentages (70% and above) to cut down on sugar, and make sure to read the ingredients lists and nutrition facts. Some dark chocolate brands are way healthier than others. We always make the extra effort to get the good stuff, without any emulsifiers, artificial additives or sweeteners.
